Important-ness

Many many things are important in my life right now, has always been, and always will be. Of course the obvious like family, love, and friendship, but other things as well such as; my bank account, my car, my outlook on life, my relationships, my talents, my mind, my bed, my puppy the list goes on forever and will continue to grow as i age. When i was little important things were the seats on the swing set, the seats on the bus, the seats in the classroom, what place you were in line (you get it) and Disney channel, that's it. Actually and fingerprinting, hop scotch, aaaaand frozen dinners, but really that's it. Now, I'm deciding on what i want to do for the rest of my life, and who i want to be?! It's crazy how fast time has gone, it was literally just yesterday i walked on the bus on the first terrifying day of kindergarten. Then i didn't care about things like, what kind of job i want (besides being a ballarina) or how im going to pay a speeding ticket, everything was so simple.

My Top 2 Most Important Things

1) Doing well in college, and focusing on my dreams.

2) Be happy!

courage smourage

Courage to me is someone standing up and being brave. Forgetting their fears and conquering all negative energy they have inside them. It could be a firefighter going into a burning building, saving lives or a small child facing their first day of kindergarten (i think we've all been there). Courage defines who are you, what your afraid, and what your willing to do in life to get over your fears and/or hardships. Some are born with it, some are not. For many, like myself i would say, courage is something learned. It builds up inside you creating something powerful, almost like superhuman strength. With courage you can conquer it all. :)

WISDOM MWOOHAHAHA

I think wisdom is something that few people are naturally blessed with, but if your willing, i think anybody can stretch their brains to acquire wisdom. To me, all a's and ph.d.s are rewards of gaining knowledge and actually using it. All people are born with a brain, its just how they use and develop it.

I would like to think of myself as a wise person. You, as my teacher, are probably confused as to why i would say myself because i don't have the highest grade in the class (haha) but i believe i am very smart when i put my mind to something, and keep it there. You mentioned a photographic memory? I have been told i have one, even though i can't connect the gap as to why that would relate to being wise. I just see things and remember, in detail, what they looked like. I feel like any ole' person could do the same.

To end this blog, because im tired, i just want to say that knowledge is power, we are all blessed with the power but it soon fades if we don't know what to do with it. I tend to use my brain and gain as much smarts as i can so i can rule the world.

BY THE WAY

the last blog i just posted was 587 words! pats on the back to me..
First of all, great topic. Second of all, this is gonna take me a long time to think about. I would love to go back to MANY time periods. So i"m not gonna write about just one. I started thinking about visiting back to the creation of man to answer many of my endless questions on how we got on this lovely planet in the first place, but got freaked out because i don't know if i really want the answer to that. So i jumped ahead to the twenties. What a ravishing time. The music, the culture, the clothes, everything was so new. American culture started to blossom, and people were starting to have fun. I want to be in the hippest jazz joint with a flapper dress on dancing with the most handsome man in Chicago, cigarette holder in hand, just like Audrey Hepburn. It would also be interesting to see the world where alcohol was illegal, but not for long. As soon as the 30's came near i"m jumping to the 40's. I would like to visit a man who had the chance to meet me, but i never met him, my poppy. From the stories i hear, and pictures I've seen, my poppy seemed like a very classy, handsome, smooth talking, all around cool dude. I like to think that if he was alive we would be great friends. First i would slap him for smoking, which caused him to die. Then i would give him a long giant hug, something I've always wanted to do, and i would also ask to drive his Chevy. During my stay, i would volunteer as a nurse in the war and hopefully fall in love with a sailor. Blame this photo for that one.

I have always been so captivated by the way of life during the 40's. Love seemed real. Everyone was happily married with at least 4 or 5 kids. The man went out and made a living while the mothers stayed home to take care of the children, everything was in order. People went to church every Sunday and ate dinner together every night. That way of life is gone. Gone with that generation.

After i have fulfilled my dreams in the 40's i would skip to an Elvis concert and get an autograph for my mom, who is madly in love with the hip shaking, blue-eyed beaut. Then off to the 60's! I believe i was born in the wrong time period. I'm a hippie a heart, although drug free and clean, I have the soul of a free spirit. I would not skip any second of it. I want to dance like an idiot, barefoot, in the rain at Woodstock. I want to ride a painted bus with strangers i just met, as lost as i am, on our way to New York to hopefully make something of ourselves. I want to protest and hold up posters covered in peace signs, while barefoot. I want to FEEL the music, not just listen. I want to love everybody, and be loved in return.

This is me...

Before i forget, still in the 60's i want to go camping with my parents when they were teenagers. I have seen pictures, and it looks like a blast. AND also what i want is to see Bob Marley in concert.

There's a couple events i would explain that i want to visit in my childhood. A few Christmases, vacations, birthdays, but I'm going to bed.

The wealthy vs. the moneyless

I hate topics like this because people care WAY too much about money. It's a materialistic thing that we can't get enough of, no matter how much we have, we're always greedy for more. When we have it we think it will never end, so we spend spend spend, and when it all runs out, we act like a camels in the desert desperate for water. Those who never get the luxury of wealth are always envious of those who do. Those who are wealthy think they are better than the rest. It's a vicious cycle that i think we'll never grow out of as long as cash rules everything around me, and honestly i think it's a fair vicious cycle. Those who work hard for wealth should be wealthy, if there putting all that energy into being rich, even comfortably wealthy, they derserve to be. The poor complaining for more money are probably just expecting it to come to them and they'll wake up one day and be millionaires. I believe you should work hard for your money. It has always been that way for me, money didn't come easy. I had to do my chores and do well in school and maybe i'll be lucky enough to get ten bucks.

love love love

I believe love is in everything. Everywhere you look, everything you see and touch is capable of loving. People, places, things, music, colors, art, nature, technology, food, everybody loves something, right now i love the song im listening to and the necklace i'm wearing. Therefor i think love cannot be defined into a simple form. When i looked the word love up in a dictionary there are many definitions, in every definition there were words like "passion", "strong feeling", and "affection", there is no single word that can describe love. Everyone has there own idea of love. In psychology i learned that psycologists believe there are three different kinds, inlcuding; Eros, Philia, and Agape. Eros meaning "erotic" is a sexual form of love. Philia is a form of brotherly love and Agape is a love for others, like caring for strangers. I don't believe that we can group love into three categories. Its such a strong feeling inside ourselves that im not sure if we can define it. All i know is that love makes us happy. In the words of the Beatles, "There's nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can sing that can't be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game, it's easy. There's nothing you can make that can't be made. No one you can save that can't be saved. Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time - It's easy. All you need is love, all you need is love. When we have a strong admiration for someone or a passion for something we love them/it/he/she/them/this. Love is unconditional and undefined.

It may not be 500 words but i think i summed up my point.
